Joann’s Story

Posted on August 12, 2020January 12, 2021 by Joann Rodgers

I know that this doesn’t work in every situation but it has helped me.

I’ve found that changing your mindset helps to be more positive. For example:

  • “I can’t do this” —> “I’m still learning “.

  • “I have failed” —> “I can still improve”.

  • “I should just quit” —> “I should ask for help and guidance”.

  • “I give up” —> “I’ll try something different”.

  • “I failed” —> “Mistakes help me learn”.

  • “I’ll never be smart” —> “I’ll learn how to do this”.

  • “I’m no good at this” —> “What am I missing?”

  • “This is too hard” —> “This may take some time”

  • “I can’t do this” —> “I don’t know how to do this yet, but I will figure it out”.
